Necklace length guide

Choosing a necklace length may be not very difficult when you are buying for yourself. However, when you are buying a necklace for a surprise personalized gift for someone, how are you going to decide which length is the best?

Some of us may try to measure on our own self, assuming the length won't differ much. While that is actually a good idea, you can also use our guide below for a rough idea of a necklace length you are going to buy.

Necklace chains come in a variety of sizes and lengths, and some of the common necklace chain length worn are:

• 16" - Choker length
• 17-18" - at collarbone
• 20" - A few inches below collarbone
• 22" - At or above neckline
• 24" - or longer extend below the neckline
• 24-26" - hangs at bust line
• 30” - just below the bust line
• 36” - hangs above the navel

The above should only be used as a guide in choosing your necklace length, and the lengths are meant for an average adult necklace. While most of our customers prefer a name necklace that sits at the collarbone, it is really up to you which length to choose as you might prefer a different length for your name necklace.
